Remarkably Mark #133: Podsafe Playing in Prospect Park
I'm back after a little bit of a break, catching you up on what's going on in my life, as Stiva and I head to Prospect Park in Brooklyn to hang out with friends. We play some podsafe music along the way.

"A little bit of a break," huh?

This was a really good catch-up episode, and I think you handled discussing that unpleasantness from a few months back really well. From what you said, it sounds as if it's ended up being a good thing for you, which I suppose is a bit of "looking on the bright side," but I'm glad for you in any case.

Loved the music, too. I don't get why some people say there's no good podsafe music.

But do you know what I'll take away from this episode? "Pee-mail"! I was in hysterics when you said that.

Good to have you back!

We were playing in the park, and Stiva was so engrossed in chewing his chewtoy that we were trying to see how much we could wrap him around in his leash before he got distracted from the bone. Her never did...

Hey Mark

It was good to have you back, I have missed listening to you. Sometimes we have to take a step back, really look at what is going on and why we are involved in it and make adjustment as to what is best for us. I am glad this time was good for you. I have been listening to you for a very long time,I was introduced to you through Wanda Wisdom, and have been a big fan ever since. Looking forward to hearing many more great episodes from you. Thanks for the great music too!

Thanks Jaymes, that's nice. Although I didn't really go anywhere. As I said in the episode, I've been doing my food podcasts like gangbusters, which is my real passion (and income).

But I know what you mean, and appreciate the comment. It's been nice to get away from the circle jerk and especially from the ever growing egos of some of the jerkers, and just interact with people on the internet who don't have an overinflated sense of themselves, and who actually give a damn about others.

Oh no I lost my message! Thanks for coming back, I missed your podcasts. There is no where else to find such diversity of topics from food and travel (tequila) to soundscapes and informative interviews! Stay with us!

Hey Mark,

I thought something had gone on. You handled it really well on the podcast - much better than I could have. When I flew over to Beijing I was disappointed you hadn't posted any new podcasts so when I got back I was glad to see a new one. Congratulations on your anniversary! I can't believe it has been 2 years.

ChefMark-
Um, how much did I totally just go, "I knew I liked him!" :) What a genuine thing to offer to a total stranger who happens to listen to your show! :P I actually remember you discussing the small rooms you can rent that were originally the maid's quarters or something of the sort a bit ago on the show...anyway, you spoke some French then and I thought to myself, hmmm.... :)

Anyhow, I'm afraid the damage is done for this time around...My poor landlady will simply have to accept my terrificly awful attempt. Ironically enough, my limited French instruction has not included intense courses on navigating the world that is telephone contracts and tenant agreements...I'm more on par with, J'aime le cinema :P

Keep up the terrific work with the show...Here's hoping we'll get to hear a bit more of your fascinating perspective and delicously entertaining stories shortly...and hey, the next time I'm sweating over a complex email full of terms I rarely utilize in my native English, I may just give you a shout ;)

Have a beautiful week!
Adam

Wanna do a recap show with me?? You know I don't do reality show recaps solo! There's already been some good drama on the After Dark show on Showtime.... ;-)
