Part 2 of my walk through Central Park with Stiva on a beautiful sunny summer day. After speaking to the staff at the Delacorte Theatre, we make our way up the hill to the Belvedere Castle, hearing a lovely classical guitarist. We then make our way through the Ramble (watch out for cruising men), and across the boat pond to the Bethesda Fountain, then west around the main drive where Stiva barks out a duet with a jazz ensemble, and out of the park by way of Tavern on the Green.

Remarkably Mark #20: A Walk through Central Park, Part 1

Stiva and I take a long walk through Central Park on a beautiful sunny summer day. We start at the 103rd St entrance to the park at Central Park West, and make our way through the park, through glades and waterfalls, ball fields, and the Resevoir. We end this first part of the walk at the Delacorte Theatre, home of Shakespeare in the Park, and even speak to some NY Shakespeare Festival staffers, along with plenty of dog owners along the way. Listen for Part 2 later, wherein we walk through the Southern part of the park and hear even more music.

Keith Olberman comments on Donald Rumsfeld's speech to the American Legion. We must wake up from our soma-induced sleep and stop letting the current powers-that-be smear anyone who exercises the right to question.
